Welcome Statement
This acquisition is for the purchase of customer direct/direct vendor delivery of supplies requiring the performance of multiple inter-related functions in order to effectively and efficiently meets the needs of our Navy Nuclear Reactor Program, Weapon System Coded - 21 N, military customers while providing end-to-end logistics support. A customer direct or direct vendor delivery (DVD) contract requires a contractor to ship an item(s) directly to the customer and perform all the functions involved in meeting the customers' requirements. These functions are:
- Forecasting, replenishment, procurement, warehousing, distribution and transportation
- Technical support for obsolescence management
- Dedicated program customer support representatives
- Maintaining sources of supply with emphasis on expanding small business participation
The measurable goal of acquiring these parts is to provide on-time delivery, reduce customer wait time, provide responsive customer service, and, best value conforming supplies to worldwide military customers.
