List of Commercial Laboratories Suitable for Testing Military Devices

This is a list of commercial laboratories, which have a DLA Land and Maritime-VQ letter of suitability to test to the military specifications indicated. Only commercial laboratories that have been issued laboratory suitability for a particular test method are eligible to test the federal stock class type of device called out in a laboratory suitability letter.

This list is divided into three sections; each section is dedicated to particular test standards and methods for which the laboratory has been given suitability.

The first column labeled  Laboratory  gives the name, address, phone number, and point of contact for each laboratory. The second column  Test Methods (Conditions)  lists the test standard (if more than one is included in a section), followed by a colon then the listing of methods from that particular test standard. If only certain conditions of a method are approved, they will be shown in parenthesis following the test condition (eg: 883: 1015, 1014, (A,B,E), 2003). These may include test methods such as those described in ASTM, IPC documents. The third column  Specification  lists the military specifications for QPL/QML electronic and construction components that the laboratory reports having tested. The last column  OPI  lists the DLA Land and Maritime Office of Primary Interest, which is the point of contact for any questions concerning that laboratory.

QPL/QML manufacturers using any of the facilities listed shall perform their own self audit of the commercial laboratory, initially and annually thereafter to verify continual compliance with the military requirements.

Laboratory suitability granted by DLA Land and Maritime-VQ prohibits commercial laboratories from removing or altering the military specification marking required on the device. A device that fails testing conditions shall be identified (isolated) as a reject and returned to the manufacturer for verification of failure mode.

These commercial laboratories are subject to the conditions as stated in DoD 4120.24M (Defense Standardization and Specification Program, Policies, Procedures and Instructions) and SD-6 (Provisions Governing Qualification) and the May 2004 VQ booklet,  DLA Land and Maritime-VQ Laboratory Suitability Information.
